Vanier hosts planning process meeting

The Vanier Community Association has joined forces with the Vanier Beautification committee and the Vanier Community Service Centre to host a special coffee house meeting on planning and development and how the city considers the community in the planning process. The evening will welcome presentations from Rideau-Vanier Coun. Mathieu Fleury, city staffer Alain Miguelex and a representative from the development company, Domicile, David Chicks. Elizabeth Manley hosts her annual fundraiser for mental health and youth services with a gala on Feb. 13 and a show unlike any other on Feb. 14 at TD Place. Live music, skating, Cirque Aerial Acts and community involvement will bring together figure skaters like Elvis Stojko, Shawn Sawyer, Javier Fernandez and Kimmie Meissner. Alan Frew of Glass Tiger will perform live for the show. Proceeds  of the evening will benefit the Youth Services Bureau of Ottawa as well as the Physical & Mental Wellness Program of the Ottawa Senators Foundation.
